THE STORY
Château Lacour Jacquet owes its name to the Pilgrims of Saint Jacques de Compostela arriving from Blaye or Soulac, who gathered in this large courtyard, before the 16th century.
Third generation of winegrowers , Régis and Eric Lartigue took over the property from their parents in 1989 .
VITICULTURE METHOD
Château Lacour Jacquet is a family-run, traditional winery. Régis Lartigue has made his passion his job. For him, winemaking remains his favorite area.
The work of Régis and his brothers and sisters has been rewarded with numerous medals and citations in specialized guides .
Château Lacour Jacquet benefits from a quality terroir , composed of gravel. The vineyard is mainly exposed South / Southwest. The pebbles accumulate the heat of the sun during the day and release it at night, promoting better maturity of the grapes.
The vineyard of the property is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot . The vines are grassed and plowed (cavaillons, passage of discs, scratching ...). The harvest is manual , ensuring a harvest of ripe and healthy grapes.
